The Hump-N-Bump is the oldest and largest event of its type in Southern Nevada. The beautiful red rock sandstone formations allows our participants to experience terrain and challenges like no other. Our two-day event offers trails for drivers of all skill levels and vehicles from stock SUV's to full-on rock buggies. Our trails rate from scenic and historic to full on rock buggy heaven.
The Vegas Valley Four Wheelers have just completed our 32nd year of hosting the Hump-N-Bump and it keeps getting bigger and better with participants attending from all over the country. The Hump-N-Bump wouldn't be possible without our great industry leading sponsors and over 75 dedicated volunteers from a variety of leading Southern Nevada 4X4 clubs. This year, participating clubs will include the Vegas Broncos, Total Karnage, Nevada Backroaders, Wicked FJ's the Desert Wranglers. Area clubs assist in a number of ways including guiding our participants safely over the obstacles on our trails.
Our non-profit, Educational, Family Oriented club hosts the Hump-N-Bump once a year as a fundraiser for the club with a large portion of the proceeds from our event supporting our Local and National land use causes. These include Nevada based Partners in Conservation, The Blue Ribbon Coalition, Tread Lightly and the United Four Wheel Drive Association. Among other things event proceeds are used to support facilites at the Logandale Trail System, Adopted trail cleanups, and Education on a variety of subjects including responsible land use and safe off-road and recovery practices. Besides showing you a great time, our goal is to keep your favorite trails open. HNB proceeds help us educate safe and responsible land use and maintain access to public lands throughout our region. Please join us for a wonderful time while also supporting our land use advocates that help to keep our awesome trails open!
Many of our sponsors have supported the Hump-N-Bump for many years and our event would not be possible without them. Whenever possible please keep them in mind when you are shopping for goods and services for your 4X4. We'll continue to add links to our sponsors for the just completed 2012 event.
The Hump-N-Bump falls on the Friday and Saturday at the tail end of the SEMA show.
Most of the HNB trail start very near our Logandale, NV. Our "Base Camp" which is located at the Clark County Fairgrounds just up Whipple Road. It's just a few miles from the trail heads of many of our trails. Logandale, Nevada is about 60 miles east of Las Vegas on I-15. It takes roughly 1-Hour to reach our fairgrounds base from Las Vegas.
All the trails start out at base camp, this year located at the Logandale Fair Grounds, and take you into the hills of Logandale over gravel roads, rocks, sand dunes, washes, canyons, virtualy every type wheeling the desert has to offer! Trails are rated from 1 to 5, 1 being scenic to 5 being extreme.
The trail rides are Friday and Satuday so you can choose 2 trails you would like to run. A description of each is listed below. Signup sheets will be located at the registration booth. Some trails will limit the number of vehicles so sign up early. We also do "unofficial" night runs to some of the near by trails of Rock Bottom, the Shedder, the Bowl, and Bronco Falls.
Bowl Trail - Perfect trail for those with stock to lightly modified vehicles. The trail winds through the desert through some very scenic parts of the Logandale area. There are a few obstacles for those of you adventurous types but all are optional. At the very end of the run you can really test your driving skills and attempt the S-TURN Though it is optional we suggest lockers front and rear and there is a possibility for some body damage. Full size not recommended in the S-Turn and are guaranteed body damage.
Bronco Falls - A short trail named after the one biggest obstacles in the trail, a huge vertical climb up a rock wall. Though it looks more intimidating then it is difficult a good set of tires and some low gears will get you to the top. After this short section the group will continue on around and catch the Shedder Trail
Hawkins Trail - Scenic trail that takes you through the mountains to the valley adjacent to the Logandale Valley. This is the connector trail for many other trails such as Matterhorn, Arockalypse and The Bowl trail. So if your looking for a scenic easier trail take the Hawkins Trail.
Matterhorn - This 2 trail is good for those slightly modified vehicles. Scenic ride through the Logandale hills to some mild obstascles. Great optional off camber climb just before a large climb that puts you back in the launch postition.
Rock Bottom - This is a great +3 trail for those looking for a challenge. The entrance to the trail is a V notch that you tip toe through. From there you crawl some sand stone obstacles along the way until you end up in a canyon with 4 ways out. The easiest is rated a 2 or 3 the hardest put mosts on there roof! As the trail comes to an end you have two ways to exit the trail: the S turn near the end of the trail where your powersteering, gearing and brake control abilities get a major workout or the waterfal which is pretty steep flat rock wall decent. After the trail have some fun at the sand dunes and back to base camp. Trail will take about half the day with a large group so bring snacks and plenty of water.
Shedder Trail - This trail will challenge the stock the vehicle but still have excitement for those modified rigs with some optional obstacles. This trail is also close to base camp and is famous for unofficial night runs. Rated about a 2-3 depending on the optional obstacles.
Our Hump-N-Bump event area at the Clark County fairgrounds is an excellent base for our event. We have a large bandstand and stage area and registration booth which is our center of operations. The facilities offer over 100 RV spaces most with water and power hookups. There is also a very large lush green lawn area with mature shade trees nearby for tent camping. Nearby are fairground restroom facilities. A number of convenient port-a-potties will be locate in convenient locations around base camp. Many of our participants will have portable hot outside showers setup so begging a shower from a new friend shouldn't be a problem if you want one.
Mini marts, restaurants, Ice cream parlors, Sandwich shops, Grocery stores, Gas stations, Propane supplies, Hardware and Auto parts stores are conveniently located in Logandale and neaby Overton just minutes away. Many of the local businesses are chipping in this year and appreciate our event and boost we bring to their local economy. Check your goodie bags for great discounts from local businesses that appreciate your attendance and support of our event.
The "Presenting Sponsor" for the 32nd Annual Hump-N-Bump was our favorite local land use advocate "Partners in Conservation" They have and continue to be a major force in the fight to keep our Nevada trails open and we are proud to make them one of the recipients of the proceeds from our event.
The Hump-N-Bump is known for it's awesome raffle, Last year our prizes exceeded $45,000 in value. Thanks to our wonderful industry leading sponsors we have one of the biggest 4X4 raffles in the country. Although everyone has a chance to win with the free tickets we include with paid registrations fortune always favors the prepared so buy lots and lots of tickets. Remember the raffle is what helps us support our land use causes. We also had a free raffle for the kids 12 and under. The Hump-N-Bump is a family friendly event.
Before the Raffle, Road Kill Grill again served up their awesome BBQ. They were recently featured on the Food Channels Diners, Drive-in's and Dives with Guy Fieri. While dinner is being served our sponsors and guest speakers told everybody about their businesses, products and our land use champions showed how best to support our land use causes.
We had a Sponsor / Vendor area near the bandstand to visit throughout the event. Our sponsors enjoyed showing you the latest and greatest in cutting edge 4X4 equipment. Without our great sponsors support, the Hump-N-Bump would not be possible or as much fun.
We again had a great Friday night after trails event planned. The Logandale Volunteer Fire Department built a 4x4 crawl course on land between their fire station and the campground. This year the course was bigger.

The vehicle and safety requirements are based on current CA4WD standards
All vehicles must be maintained and conform highway safety standards as well as meet the minimum requirements listed below:
We recommend that you bring plenty of water as even in November it can be nice and warm at the Hump-N-Bump.
Additionally, we require that participants carry vehicle liability insurance. Vehicles currently licensed for public roads require insurance and will meet this requirement. Buggies should be able to secure OHV liability only insurance from their insurance carrier or from a major insurer like Progressive. All similar off-road events require that their participants provide proof of liability insurance.
If for some reason you are unable to meet any of these requirements please contact Hump-N-Bump organizers BEFORE you register and we will assist you in getting squared away.
The Hump-N-Bump has been very fortunate in being covered by many of the leading 4x4 Magazines and Adventure related television programs in the USA and Europe.
This is a great way to see how much fun you will have at the Hump-N-Bump. Please keep in mind that we have trails for all 4X4's and comfort levels. As we get the time we will add stories from years past to the links below.
